Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, PR, or related field.
  • 5+ years of professional marketing and communications experience.
  • 2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • Proven success leading integrated campaigns across channels.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Marketing Manager

Washington Pavilion Management, Inc.(WPMI) is seeking an experienced and strategic Marketing Manager to lead integrated marketing initiatives across a diverse portfolio of cultural, educational, and hospitality experiences.

This leadership role is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that drive audience engagement, revenue growth, brand awareness, and community impact for the Washington Pavilion’s museums and memberships, education programs, and food and beverage operations.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader who combines strategic thinking with strong execution, enjoys managing people and projects, and thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

What You’ll Do
Strategic Marketing Leadership
  • Lead the development, execution, and optimization of integrated marketing campaigns for assigned business units and initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary marketing liaison for internal stakeholders and organizational partners.
  • Translate strategic goals into actionable marketing plans, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Manage campaign execution across paid, earned, shared, and owned media channels.
  • Monitor campaign performance and recommend adjustments to improve results and maximize return on investment.
  • Ensure brand consistency, messaging alignment, and editorial quality across all marketing efforts.
Portfolio Management

Oversee marketing strategies and initiatives supporting:

  • Museums and Memberships
    • Visual Arts Center
    • Kirby Science Discovery Center
    • Wells Fargo CineDome
    • Sweetman Planetarium
    • Membership growth and retention
    • Exhibitions and guest experiences
  • Education Programs
    • Youth camps and classes
    • Family programming
    • Adult education offerings
    • Graham Academy Preschool
  • Food & Beverage Operations
    • Washington Pavilion Café
    • Parlour Ice Cream
    • The Lodge Bar & Grill at Jacobson Plaza
  • Additional organizational initiatives as assigned
Team Leadership & Development
  • Directly supervise and develop marketing team members.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings focused on performance, development, and workload management.
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and constructive feedback.
  • Lead weekly production and planning meetings.
  • Prioritize resources and allocate team capacity to meet organizational goals and campaign deadlines.
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and solutions-oriented team culture.
  • Complete performance evaluations, goal setting, and payroll approvals.
Team Structure

This position directly supervises:

  • Graphic Designer & Content Specialist
  • Social Media Specialist
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of professional marketing and communications experience.
  • Minimum of two years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated success leading integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital marketing platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working within arts, entertainment, education, nonprofit, hospitality, tourism, or destination-based organizations.
  • Knowledge of Associated Press (AP) Style.
  • Experience managing creative development and content strategy.
