Position:Marketing Manager

Location: Addison, IL

Job Id:172

# of Openings:1

Overview:

Brookside Flavors & Ingredients is seeking a Marketing Manager to support the planning, execution, and reporting of marketing campaigns and programs for our custom flavor and ingredient solutions. This role is ideal for someone with strong campaign operations experience who is equally comfortable managing the executional details of getting a campaign out the door and analyzing performance to provide actionable insights back to the business.

Beyond campaign execution, this person will help build Brookside's presence in the market — strengthening our search and online visibility, raising industry awareness of our capabilities, generating and nurturing leads for the sales pipeline, and growing our brand value and social media presence — so that more food and beverage manufacturers discover and trust Brookside as a flavor and ingredient partner.

The successful candidate will coordinate cross-functional marketing initiatives with our sales, R&D/application, and customer innovation teams, manage stakeholder feedback in a B2B environment, and translate campaign and customer data into clear, meaningful reporting that helps Brookside grow its relationships with food and beverage manufacturers across multiple market categories such as alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, alternative proteins, confections, nutrition, and savory foods. This person will also serve as a key partner to the sales team, equipping them with the tools, content, and insights they need to win and grow customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities
Campaign Execution & Reporting
  • Support the end-to-end execution of marketing campaigns and programs from intake through launch, including flavor and product launch campaigns, trade show and industry event marketing, digital and content campaigns, and sales enablement materials.
  • Coordinate campaign workflows, including intake management, copy and content development, technical and regulatory review coordination (working with R&D, quality, and regulatory teams on claims, labeling, and documentation), stakeholder feedback, and final deployment.
  • Collaborate with sales, R&D/application, customer innovation, and leadership teams to ensure campaigns and collateral are accurate, on-brand, and delivered on schedule.
  • Monitor campaign and program performance and develop reporting that clearly communicates results to sales, customer-facing teams, and leadership.
  • Consolidate data from CRM, website analytics, trade show and event results, and other marketing tools into clear, executive-ready presentations.
  • Create data visualizations — charts, graphs, and tables — to illustrate campaign and program performance over time.
  • Analyze campaign and program results, including year-over-year performance and comparisons across categories or customer segments, to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Track sales content usage and marketing's influence on pipeline, sample requests, and project wins to show how marketing supports revenue.
  • Maintain organized project documentation and ensure all deliverables meet Brookside's quality and brand standards.
  • Develop and maintain a library of sales tools, including category sell sheets, capability overviews, customer presentation decks, and case studies for beverages, alternative proteins, confections, nutrition, and savory.
  • Partner with R&D/application and regulatory teams to turn technical information (flavor profiles, application performance, labeling and claims such as natural, organic, or clean label) into accurate, customer-friendly materials.
  • Create trend and insight content (consumer flavor trends, category reports, concept boards) that sales can use to open conversations and run ideation sessions with customers.
  • Support the sampling and brief process with branded sample kits, flavor descriptors, and follow-up materials that keep momentum after samples ship.
  • Build competitive positioning resources and objection-handling guides so sales can clearly explain Brookside's differentiation and the "made better™" platform.
  • Prepare sales teams for new flavor and ingredient launches with messaging guides, talking points, and short training sessions.
  • Own lead handoff processes with sales, including trade show follow-up timelines, lead qualification criteria, and CRM content such as email templates and nurture sequences.
  • Keep enablement content organized, current, and easy to find in a central repository.
  • Collect regular feedback from sales and customer-facing teams on which materials work, what's missing, and what customers are asking for, and feed those insights into future campaigns.
  • Brand, Digital Presence & Demand Generation
  • Own and grow Brookside's search visibility, including search engine optimization (SEO) and emerging AI/answer-engine optimization (AEO/GEO), so that food and beverage manufacturers researching flavor and ingredient partners can find Brookside.
  • Build industry awareness and thought leadership through content, trade publications, PR, and speaking or sponsorship opportunities that position Brookside as a trusted flavor and ingredient innovation partner.
  • Support lead generation and pipeline-building efforts, working closely with sales to develop, capture, and nurture qualified leads from digital channels, trade shows, and outbound campaigns.
  • Contribute to brand value creation, ensuring consistent messaging, visual identity, and positioning (including Brookside's "made better™" platform) across all customer touchpoints.
  • Manage and grow Brookside's social media and online presence (LinkedIn and other relevant channels), creating content that engages current and prospective customers and strengthens brand credibility.
  • Support go-to-market planning for new flavor and ingredient launches, aligning content, SEO/AEO, social, and channel mix (trade shows, digital, direct outreach) with commercial goals.
Qualifications
  • 3-7+ years of experience in marketing, campaign management, or marketing operations, ideally within food, beverage, flavors, ingredients, or another B2B manufacturing or technical environment.
  • Experience executing integrated marketing campaigns that involve multiple internal stakeholders and approval steps.
  • Strong understanding of campaign execution processes, including stakeholder coordination, approvals, and cross-functional review cycles.
  • Working knowledge of SEO best practices and a willingness to stay current on AI/answer-engine optimization (AEO/GEO) as search behavior evolves.
  • Experience with lead generation and pipeline-building activities, including working with sales on lead capture, qualification, and nurture.
  • Experience creating sales enablement materials and partnering closely with sales teams in a B2B environment, including translating technical or scientific information into clear customer-facing content.
  • Hands-on experience managing social media and other online brand channels for a company or organization.
  • Excellent analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to interpret marketing and sales performance data.
  • Experience creating clear, executive-level reports and presentations using PowerPoint, Excel, and data visualization techniques.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, comfortable working across sales, technical, and leadership teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in flavors, food ingredients, or the broader food and beverage manufacturing industry.
  • Familiarity with B2B marketing to food and beverage manufacturers, including trade show marketing.
  • Experience with SEO/SEM tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, or Ahrefs) and familiarity with AI/answer-engine optimization practices.
  • Experience with marketing automation and CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo, or Salesforce) and marketing dashboards or reporting tools.
  • Experience with sales enablement or content management platforms (e.g., Highspot, Seismic, or HubSpot sales tools) and running sales training or launch readiness sessions.
  • Experience with content marketing, PR, or industry thought‑leadership programs that build brand awareness and credibility.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, including strong data storytelling ability.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate combines strong campaign execution experience with excellent analytical capabilities and a genuine interest in growing a brand's presence and pipeline, and in equipping sales teams to win. They are detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable working across sales, technical, and leadership teams to deliver campaigns, build industry awareness, equip sales with effective tools, and provide meaningful, data-driven performance reporting. Candidates with experience in B2B food, beverage, flavor, or ingredient marketing — or supporting technical and manufacturing organizations, with a track record in sales enablement, SEO/digital presence, demand generation, or brand building — will be especially well suited to this opportunity at Brookside Flavors & Ingredients.
