Turn this role into an interview — a resume and cover letter built around what this employer wants.
Truvo, a bold consumer insurance startup in New York, is hiring a Marketing Lead to build the function from zero to one. You will shape how the company shows up, translate a complex insurance product into human stories, and run the channels that bring customers to us.
As the first dedicated marketing hire, you will own brand, content, lifecycle, and demand generation, collaborate with product and growth, and scale a team as Truvo grows in a regulated fintech space.
At Truvo, we are building a fully autonomous consumer insurance broker — saving the average household hundreds of dollars on insurance while better protecting people for the worst moments in their lives. We are rewiring a trillion-dollar industry that still runs on phone calls, fax machines, and legacy carrier systems. We raised our seed, built a best-in-class AI-native broker platform with AI agents that quote, bind, and service policies autonomously, and are scaling an exceptional team.
We are looking for a Marketing Lead to build Truvo's marketing function from zero to one — someone who can define how we show up in the world, turn a complex product into a story consumers understand and trust, and run the channels that bring those consumers to us.
Brand & Positioning: Define Truvo's brand, voice, and positioning, and keep it consistent across the website, product, ads, and every customer touchpoint
Content & Storytelling: Own the content engine — website copy, blog, guides, email, and social — turning insurance into something people actually want to read about
Lifecycle & Email: Build the lifecycle programs that nurture leads, convert quotes into bound policies, and keep customers through renewal
Demand Generation: Plan and run campaigns across paid, organic, and partner channels, and manage the agencies, freelancers, and budget behind them
Marketing Analytics: Measure what works — attribution, funnel, and channel performance — and use it to set priorities and report on marketing's impact
Full-Stack Marketer: You have built a marketing function from scratch — brand, content, lifecycle, and demand gen — and you know how to prioritize when resources are limited
Exceptional Communicator: You write clearly and persuasively, and you can take a complicated, regulated product and make it simple and human
Consumer Marketing Experience: 5+ years of marketing experience, ideally at high-growth consumer startups in fintech, insurtech, or marketplaces
Data-Literate: Comfortable with analytics tools and marketing platforms. You make decisions backed by numbers, not just instinct
Builder and Leader: You will be our first dedicated marketing hire. You thrive in ambiguity, move fast, and are ready to build a team as we scale
Nice to Have: Experience in insurance, financial services, or regulated industries. Hands-on experience with SEO, paid social, or lifecycle tooling
