Job summary

Ameritas is seeking a Marketing Intern - Community Relations to assist with development, production and implementation of the Company's corporate relations both internally and externally. This internship will begin in May 2027 and is a hybrid role in Lincoln, NE.

You will support donation budgets, collaborate with local nonprofits, help craft sponsorship messaging, manage relations databases, and assist with internal/external communications while gaining exposure to event planning and

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a college program at least half-time studying Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Hospitality or related field.
• Commit to a 12-month internship with full-time in summer and part-time during the school year.
• Full-time hours: 30-40 hours/week; Part-time: 15-20 hours/week.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to adapt to change, build relationships, and take initiative.
• Interest in event planning, design and administrative work.
• Sense of urgency and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Process and track donation budgets.
• Connect and collaborate with local nonprofit organizations and their staff.
• Assist with community sponsorship messaging, tracking, research and planning.
• Manage community relations databases using Ameritas' digital platform.
• Provide support in writing internal and external communications.
• Other projects as assigned.
