Job summary

KTUA is a well-established planning and landscape architecture firm with a diverse project base, seeking a Director of Marketing and Business Development in San Diego. You will lead strategy, manage marketing and business development efforts, and coordinate proposal submissions in a design-driven environment.

Ideal candidates have 8–10 years in the AEC industry, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and strong writing, editing, and client-relations skills.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of related professional experience (AEC industry with RFQ/P process).
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, Landscape Architecture, or Planning preferred (or equivalent work experience).
• Capable of overseeing and prioritizing multiple proposals; handle multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead regular marketing and business development meetings with the principal group to develop winning strategies, and establish consistent proposal methodologies.
• Lead and guide all business development and marketing communications.
• Oversee deadline-driven proposal submissions from start to finish with cross-functional collaboration.
• Oversee writing, quality control, and editing of proposal/interview content; develop content like letters, descriptions, resumes, and images.
• Support corporate social media platforms and maintain a content calendar.
• Research RFQs and RFQs, assist in project pursuit decisions (go/no go).
• Identify opportunities to expand in target markets and geographies.
• Cultivate client relationships with focus on target markets and emerging clients.
