Job summary

Austin Oasis is seeking a Director of Marketing for a skilled nursing facility. You will build referral source relationships with hospitals, clinics, and senior-service organizations to support admissions from home, hospital, or other facilities.

The role requires proven marketing success in long-term care, outstanding written and verbal communication, and the ability to manage patient/resident financial services. Must be able to read English, and be willing to travel with an own vehicle.

Job description

A skilled nursing facility is currently seeking a Director of Marketing position. This position is responsible for building referral source relationships in a variety of settings, such as hospitals, clinics, and senior-service related organizations within the community. To acquire the necessary and appropriate information to facilitate the admission of the resident to the facility from home, hospital, or other facility and to complete the documents necessary for the admission process. Requirements:

• Prior demonstrated, successful experience in marketing a skilled nursing facility or facilities to local referral sources.

• To manage and maintain the systems and processes associated with patient/resident financial services.

• Ability to meet admissions/marketing goals for census improvement/maintenance.
  Perform other duties as assigned.

• To represent the facility to clients, hospitals, and community agencies, establishing a good rapport with the transferring institutions.

• Professional tact, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Maintain an accurate resident roster.

• Work with physicians and hospital discharge planners to arrange a smooth transition to the facility.

• Build and maintain relationships with hospitals, physicians, social workers, discharge planners and other referral sources.

• Analyze referrals to ensure facility can meet resident’s needs adequately.

• Facilitate a decision for admission approval and notification of admission approval timely to referring agency.

• Recruit and credential new physicians to the facility.

• Explain facility philosophy, policies and procedures to potential residents, new residents, and residents’ representatives.

• Meet with members of community organizations.

Qualifications:

• Must have own vehicle

• Willing to travel

• Previous experience in Long Term Care, preferably in admissions and/or marketing

• Must be able to read, write, and speak English

• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with residents, family members, visitors, personnel, government agencies/personnel and the general public.

• Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm.
