Job summary

MACNY, The Manufacturers Association, is seeking a Marketing & Communications Specialist to support its Talent Development team. The role focuses on increasing awareness, engagement, and participation across career exploration, pre-apprenticeship, and Registered Apprenticeship programs.

You will develop materials, manage digital and social content, and coordinate events with internal teams and partners. A strong writer with design sensibility is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
• Experience with content management, copy editing and proofreading, event coordination, digital marketing, social media management, and other key marketing skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license for frequent community outreach within New York State.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute marketing and communications initiatives for MACNY’s Talent Development programs (career exploration, pre-apprenticeship, Registered Apprenticeship).
• Develop marketing materials including slide decks, social graphics, print collateral, and branded assets.
• Write, edit, and proofread emails, newsletters, web content, and print materials.
• Create, schedule, and publish engaging organic social content and manage campaigns, including paid ads.
• Monitor, analyze, and report performance across digital channels to improve engagement.
• Support website content development and ongoing site management.
• Support planning and execution of Talent Development events such as Manufacturing Month and National Apprenticeship Week.
