Marketing/Communications Specialist
Job Summary
The Marketing & Communications Specialist creates content forthe U Career Success website, social media channels, informationaland promotional videos, newsletters, presentations, and othermarketing items as needed. This role supports Career Coaches, thePre-Professional Team, Connect2Health, Learn + Earn, and Corporate& Community Engagement. They will also collaborate with campuspartners to distribute content and promote events and resources toa wide range of audiences.

Responsibilities
- Maintains and updates the U Career Success website and contentfor supported programs.
- Creates content for newsletters, digital and print marketing,social media, internal and external communications, and reports foruniversity leadership and community partners.
- Collaborates with the team to create marketing andcommunication plans.
- Monitors and analyzes the effectiveness ofmarketing/communication tactics and adjusting communication plansas necessary, in partnership with manager.
- Develops and adheres to project timelines.
- Ensures that distributed material is accurate and timely.
- May perform other related technical duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree English, Journalism, Communications, orrelated field plus 3 years of related experience, or equivalency(one year of education can be substituted for two years of relatedwork experience); excellent technical writing and verbalcommunication skills; familiarity with a variety of computersoftware; project management and strong interpersonal skills;ability to work both individually and in a team setting.
- Some areas may require additional experience with specificcomputer systems and may require skills in interviewing, ad copywriting, editing, photography, web writing, graphic design, audio& video production, and oral presentation.
- Demonstrated professional writing and editing skills, with theability to adapt content for varied audiences and platforms.
- Experience creating and coordinating communications ormarketing materials across multiple channels, such as web, email,social media, print, and presentations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, priorities,and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy andattention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the abilityto work effectively with a range of stakeholders.

Preferences
- Two or more years of professional experience in marketing,communications, public relations, digital content, or a relatedfield.
- Experience managing website content, preferably using WordPressor a comparable content management system.
- Experience developing and implementing short- and long-termcommunications, marketing, or content strategies.
- Experience creating and managing social media content,including content calendars and performance reporting.
- Experience using communications or project-management tools,such as Trello, Asana, Microsoft Planner, Mailchimp, or similarplatforms.
- Experience using marketing analytics to assess theeffectiveness of communications and adjust tactics.
- Graphic design experience using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, orcomparable tools.
- Video production or editing experience.
- Experience working in higher education, student services,nonprofit, or another mission-driven environment.
- Experience translating complex information into clear,engaging, student-centered content.
- Master's degree in a related field may be preferred.
