Taylored Expressions is seeking a Marketing Communications Specialist to craft clear, on-brand content for email, social, blog, and events, connecting with the crafting community every week.

You will partner with Marketing, design, e‑commerce, and customer service teams to plan campaigns for product drops, promotions, and events like Stamp Joy, using data to improve messaging and engagement.

Qualifications

• 2+ years writing customer-facing marketing content for consumer/retail or ecommerce brands.
• Experience building, testing, and sending email campaigns.
• Experience writing social content and engaging with online communities.
• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading with cross-channel adaptation.
• Organized and dependable under deadlines, able to juggle multiple projects across teams.
• Customer-curious mindset and comfortable using data to learn what works.
• Portfolio or writing samples showing range.

The Marketing Communications Specialist plays a key role in connecting Taylored Expressions with our crafting community. Through thoughtful storytelling, engaging content, and clear, consistent messaging, this position helps customers discover new possibilities, feel inspired to create, and share the joy of handmade creativity with others.

The ideal candidate is an exceptional writer and communicator who understands how to connect with customers across multiple channels. They bring creativity, curiosity, attention to detail, and a collaborative spirit to everything they do, helping ensure every communication feels authentic, useful, and unmistakably TE.

What You’ll Do

• You’ll own how we talk with our crafting community across email, SMS, blog, and social media, and you’ll make every message clear, useful, and unmistakably TE.
• You’ll work closely with our Marketing Manager and our design, creative, e-commerce, and customer service teams. You’ll write, build, and schedule campaigns for weekly product releases and promotions. You’ll turn our designers’ projects into stories that build customers’ confidence, and you’ll keep our social channels full of inspiration and real conversation.
• You’ll also help bring our in-person and virtual events to life, including Stamp Joy and our classes, from the first announcement through the post-event follow-up. Along the way, you’ll use engagement data and customer feedback to keep improving how we communicate.

What You’ll Bring

• 2+ years writing customer-facing marketing content (email, blog, or social) for a consumer, retail, or ecommerce brand.
• Hands-on experience building, testing, and sending campaigns in an email marketing platform.
• Experience writing social content for a brand and engaging with an online community.
• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, including adapting one message across multiple channels.
• Organization and dependability under deadlines, plus the ability to juggle multiple projects and collaborate across teams.
• A customer-curious mindset and comfort using data to learn what’s working.
• A portfolio or writing samples that show your range.

Bonus points if you have experience with Klaviyo (including segmentation and A/B testing), StoryBrand or a similar customer-centered messaging framework, or event and registration communications. Familiarity with papercrafting, cardmaking, or the creative hobby community is a plus, but not required.
