Location: CALIFORNIA POLYTECHNIC STATE UNIVERSITY

• We are hiring immediately for full time Marketing Assistant - Admin Assistant Hourlypositions.
• Address: 1 Grand Ave. Bldg. 19, San Luis Obispo, CA 93407
• Schedule: Full time schedule. Open availability preferred. Monday - Friday. Shifts vary with needs of business. Evenings and weekends included. More details upon interview!
• Requirement: Previous marketing experience required, social media experience is a plus.
  • Writing & Communications: Write, edit and proofread newsletters, promotional copy, campus communications and content supporting Campus Dining programs, events and initiatives.
  • Social Media: Manage day-to-day social media content, including writing copy, maintaining the content calendar, scheduling posts and capturing photo/video content.
  • Events & Promotions: Support the planning, promotion and execution of Campus Dining events and activations, including pre-event communications, on-site support and content capture.
  • Project Coordination: Manage multiple communications projects and deadlines while coordinating with the Marketing team, Campus Dining operators and campus partners to ensure content is accurate and delivered on time.
• Pay Range: $28.00 per hour to $30.00 per hour.

Summary: As a Marketing Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the operation with marketing, merchandising, and promotions to ensure superior service and maximize profits.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assists in all marketing, advertising, and promotional activities.
• Analyzes customer/resident research, current market conditions and competitor information.
• Assists in the development and implementation of marketing plans and projects for new and existing accounts.

• Manages the productivity of the marketing plans and projects.

• Reports on return on investment and key performance metrics.
• Creates marketing presentations.
• Monitors industry best practices and trends.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 1 year of marketing experience.

• Ability to present to large groups.
• Knowledge of merchandising and promotions.
• Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and the internet.
• A bachelor’s Degree in Marketing is preferred.
