Job Description:
Job Title: Marketing Assistant
Location: Remote
Duration: 18 months
Type: Contract on T4
Typical Day in the Role
• Purpose of the Team: Advertising (MSA) empowers advertisers around the world to reach their maximum potential through search marketing, display, video, sale side platform (SSP), demand side platform (DSP), and gaming solutions across Client Advertising’s platforms.
• Key projects: We are seeking a Social Media Manager to help support the day-to-day operations of our social media channel. This role will be part of the broader content marketing team, so the individual will need to work closely with numerous other teams and stakeholders to deliver best-in-class social content across many products and advertising solution areas.
• Our ideal candidate brings to the team a fun and positive attitude where challenges are met with a growth mindset. This individual should be a self-starter with a strong attention to detail. Core responsibilities will include processing new social requests, organizing the content calendar, and scheduling posts across core social channels. Additional duties may include stakeholder management, reporting, and content development. All work will support the growth of our social channels where we will develop and deliver highly relevant and engaging social content to our audiences.
• Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm: The role will consist of 75% monitoring new requests in ticket system (planning replying etc.), 20% community management, 5% meetings.

Candidate Requirements
• Years of Experience Required: 2-4 overall years of experience in the field.
• Degrees or certifications required: NO degree is required to be eligible for this role. Ideal degree: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Journalism, Communications, or related field 2+ years public relations, marketing, community management, social media management, or communications experience OR equivalent experience.
• Disqualifiers: Candidates with NO Social Media experience will not be eligible for the role.
• Technical expertise: All major social platforms, Sprinklr, MS Office (Outlook, Work, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Best vs. Average: Strong understanding of social media channels – LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube. product-relevant industry experience (e.g., gaming, entertainment). B2B Social media experience. Strong writing skills, editing experience. Ready to be very collaborative and work with a team.
• Performance Indicators: Performance will be assessed based on how they meet deadlines and quality of work, communication speed, performance of socials, team feedback.

Responsibilities
The social media manager’s responsibilities fall into three primary buckets: content coordination, calendar management, and measurement.
• Content coordination: With minimal supervision, this individual will manage social media requests from stakeholders across our Client Advertising organization. They will ensure each post has all required components like copy, design, tracking code, etc. For each new social request, they will manage the ticket via ADO, and once ready, schedule posts in Sprinklr. They should be familiar with the various content types (e.g., static posts, video, carousel).
• The ideal candidate has a strong background in written communication. They should feel comfortable both writing and reviewing social copy specific to each major social media platform.
• As they collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization on creation, organization, and measurement, they will work directly within our brand marketing team to ensure all content is aligned with brand guidelines, social tone of voice (TOV), and integrated campaigns.
• Calendar management: The social media manager will also keep our content calendar up to date and organized. They’ll maintain an organized flow of assets and approvals between various content and creative agencies and internal stakeholders.
• They should feel comfortable managing conflicting priorities from various stakeholders to adjust the social content calendar to reflect the needs of the business.
• Measurement: The social media manager will prepare monthly and ad-hoc (often even recap) reports of channel performance and suggest ways to improve our social content and community management based on the data. They will regularly track metrics like follower growth, engagement rate, and engagement volume.
• The ideal candidate should be eager to track industry-wide social trends to influence how we test and iterate our content to continually refine our performance.
Top 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience
1. Minimum 2 years managing multiple social media channels/managing social media calendar
2. Minimum 2 years of experience writing social media content
3. Minimum 2 years of experience with channel performance reporting
