Marketing & Events Director

The Marketing & Events Director serves as a department head and advisor to the Board of Trustees and Township Administrator, overseeing the operations of the Delhi Events Center and Lawn Bar. This role involves leading efforts to promote and market the Delhi Event Center for private events, assisting clients with planning and coordination, and managing marketing initiatives including social media and informational materials.

The Director will maintain a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, and will oversee licensing, permits, and contracts related to special events. Collaboration with other Township departments, partners, and volunteers is essential for planning programs and events. Budget development and management for operations and events are also key responsibilities.

Qualifications and Qualities
  • Honest, ethical, hardworking, and dedicated with experience in team environments aimed at improving performance and quality of life.
  • Strong communication skills, responsiveness, and ability to keep the Township Administrator informed.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and facilitate consensus with political savvy.
  • Excellent public relations skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to conduct research, analyze data, and make recommendations.
  • Creative thinking to improve operations and reduce costs, with flexibility and a cooperative attitude.
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, hospitality, business administration, public administration, or related field from an accredited college.
  • Minimum of two years of responsible sales or events experience preferred.
Additional Information

This is a full-time, exempt position with a salary commensurate with experience and performance bonuses. Benefits include vacation, sick leave, holidays, medical and dental insurance, OPERS participation, and support for travel and training. There is no residency requirement.
