Job description

Professional Overview

The Marketing & Events Director serves as a department head and advisor to the Board of Trustees and Township Administrator on operations of the Delhi Events Center and Lawn Bar. The Director will lead the Township’s efforts to promote and market the Delhi Event Center to clients for use in private events; assist clients in the planning, coordination, and implementation of all private events. This position will lead, coordinate, and manage general marketing, social media, informational products, and literature for the promotional or informational benefit of the Township with the outside consultant. This position will maintain a flexible work schedule with availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

The Marketing & Events Director will oversee the operations of the Delhi Event Center and Lawn Bar including requirements necessary to maintain annual food and liquor licenses, obtaining necessary permits, licensing, payments, contracts, and any other paperwork for special events and programming. The Director will collaborate and work cooperatively with other Township departments, partnering organizations, and volunteers to plan and implement programs and special events. The Director will develop and organize budgets for general operations, programs, and special events at the Delhi Event Center and Lawn Bar.

  • Know when to exercise independent judgment and when to facilitate consensus, demonstrating political savvy without being
  • Must possess excellent public relations skills and the ability to communicate succinctly and effectively, both in writing and verbally, conduct complex research, analyze data/issues, and render difficult recommendations/decisions; and perform all tasks in a safe manner, following applicable safety rules.
  • Create ideas that improve production, or result in cost savings for the Delhi Event Department and Delhi Township; become actively involved in decisions affecting work detail; and demonstrate flexibility and cooperative attitude when faced with change.
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, hospitality, general business administration, public administration, or related field from an accredited college or
