Location: Avon, MN

Job Type: Contract - 10 months

Ideal Start Date: November 1, 2026

Note: This position will require overtime and weekend work during February 17-25, 2027, travel to Welch, MN required the week of February 21, exact dates TBD.

Compensation: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour (W2)

This role will serve as a critical liaison between internal communications, external communications, creative services, and business stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational goals.

The ideal candidate is a highly organized project management professional with strong communication skills, experience managing cross-functional marketing initiatives, and the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This position will oversee a portfolio of projects that includes high-visibility corporate events, internal communications programs, and company newsletter management.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with internal communications, external communications, and creative teams to define project objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource needs.
• Facilitate alignment among stakeholders regarding project scope, priorities, schedules, and expected outcomes.
• Manage multiple marketing and communications projects simultaneously, ensuring successful execution from planning through completion.
• Maintain and update project documentation, workflows, and process materials to support operational efficiency.
• Schedule, coordinate, and lead project-related meetings, events, and stakeholder discussions.
• Conduct regular meetings with project and event leads to monitor progress and address challenges.Communicate project status updates, milestones, potential risks, and mitigation plans to stakeholders and leadership.
• Collaborate with department leadership to assess team capacity, resource allocation, tools, processes, and performance metrics.
• Provide visibility into project progress, dependencies, obstacles, and overall portfolio health.
• Create, manage, and track project tasks within Asana, ensuring deadlines are met and roadblocks are resolved.
• Oversee a portfolio that includes high-profile event planning and execution.
• Manage company newsletter initiatives, including content collection, review processes, production coordination, and distribution activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience managing marketing, communications, events, or cross-functional business projects.
• Strong project management, organizational, and time management skills.
• Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders and managing competing priorities.
• Proficiency with Asana or similar project management platforms.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to facilitate meetings, manage project timelines, and provide clear status reporting.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to process improvement.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting corporate communications, brand marketing, or event management initiatives.
• Familiarity with internal communications programs and employee engagement campaigns.
• Experience managing newsletter production and distribution processes.
• Knowledge of artificial intelligence tools such as Microsoft Copilot or Claude.
• Experience working within construction, engineering, infrastructure, manufacturing, or related industries.
• Project management certification or formal project management training is a plus.
