Job summary

Delta Dental of Iowa is seeking a Marketing Analyst Intern to join our Marketing team in Johnston, IA for the summer. This hands-on internship will analyze marketing campaigns, build reporting tools, and automate processes using Power BI, Python, SQL, and VBA.

You will develop insights, present findings to leadership, and learn analytics techniques to support our community-focused initiatives while gaining real-world experience in data-driven marketing.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Analytics or related fields.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher on transcripts.
• Currently enrolled as a student at a college or university.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Coursework in business, statistics, research, marketing, mathematics, or related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Submit a written analysis of project work and present to leadership at program end.
• Freshman/Sophomore participants may join the Insure Your Future program with networking opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Learn to analyze marketing campaigns and review results using Power BI.
• Develop reporting tools with Python, SQL and VBA.
• Build macros to automate processes and improve analytics tools.
• Assist Marketing team with project reviews and tool enhancements.
• Establish relationships with internal and external teams and complete projects on time.
• Participate in internship programs and networking to strengthen business acumen in insurance.
• Represent Delta Dental of Iowa professionally and maintain confidentiality.
