Selective Insurance in New Jersey seeks an experienced corporate underwriter to lead the Manufacturing & Wholesale portfolio, guiding strategy and pricing for both new and existing accounts.

You will work with regional leaders and cross-functional teams to deliver profitable growth, balance risk and reward, and develop talent through coaching and mentorship.

This role emphasizes collaboration, market insight, and a strong presence in field operations to stay aligned with agents and customers.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree required; 10+ years generalist Commercial Lines underwriting, incl. 5+ years in Manufacturing & Wholesale.
• Valid state driver’s license in good standing.
• Strong leadership, sales, negotiation and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Set underwriting strategy for the Manufacturing & Wholesale segment and lead a team of subject matter experts.
• Drive growth and profitability by guiding portfolio, line, and market segment strategies.
• Monitor external factors and adjust strategies to balance risk and opportunity for customers.
• Collaborate with product, actuarial, claims, legal, and regional leadership to improve underwriting and market reach.
