Job summary

CPL in Greenville, SC seeks a Market Sector Principal - Landscape Architect to lead and mentor the landscape practice, guiding design excellence, technical standards, and growth across major initiatives.

You will manage multidisciplinary teams, supervise project scopes and budgets, develop talent, and expand CPL’s reach regionally and nationally while promoting sustainable, client-focused solutions.

Qualifications

• Professional degree in your field and 15+ years experience, with 5+ in Studio/Practice Manager roles or equivalent.
• Professional licensure with ability and willingness to be licensed in multiple states.
• Thorough understanding of current trends and growth areas within the AEC/LA industry.
• Subject matter expert, both internally and in the community.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as a culture guardian and promote CPL's values.
• Develop internal networks to advance multi-discipline capabilities.
• Understand CPL’s Value Proposition and how technical excellence supports it.
• Ensure resources are allocated to deliver a high-quality client experience.
• Expand the practice geographically and in total sales through cross-selling and business development.
• Recruitment and retention of talent; provide mentorship and career development.
• Oversee project schedules and budgets; manage projects and QA.
• Develop project scopes and coordinate administrative and technical efforts.
• Advocate sustainable design solutions.
• Manage internal finances including billing and asset allocation.
• Collaborate with CPL leaders on annual business development plans.
