Title: Market Operator Sales Specialist

Summary:

Bridor is seeking an early-career Market Operator Sales Specialist with a passion for premium baked goods, a data-driven mindset, and a love for building customer relationships. This remote position, covering Ohio and Michigan, offers a unique opportunity to combine your interest in sales with hands-on baking and daily fieldwork to grow market presence and customer satisfaction.

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate is driven, enthusiastic, and customer-focused. You should enjoy starting your mornings baking product samples, thrive in a data-oriented sales environment, and excel in building relationships with customers and prospects. This role is perfect for someone early in their career looking to develop and grow within the food sales industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Start your day baking samples to showcase Bridor’s premium products to customers and prospects.
  • Spend the majority of your week out in the field meeting with customers, prospects, and distributors to build relationships and grow market share.
  • Collaborate with distributors and Regional Managers to drive distribution in assigned markets.
  • Identify and secure key accounts such as coffee shops, bakeries, restaurants, colleges/universities, and hotels.
  • Maintain and manage a target account list for your market.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to ensure satisfaction, retention, and long-term growth.
  • Leverage data and insights to track performance and refine sales strategies.
  • Share updates on sales activities, market trends, competitive conditions, and customer feedback with the VP of Sales.
  • Travel up to 60% per week, including occasional overnight stays for food shows, meetings, and market support.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, culinary, hospitality, or a related field preferred.
  • Up to 2 years of experience in direct sales, customer service, or the agri-food industry; prior experience in bakery, pastry, or confectionery is a plus.
  • Passion for baking and sharing great products with others.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Data-driven approach to sales with strong analytical skills.
  • Outstanding customer service skills with an engaging and approachable demeanor.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable engaging with diverse audiences.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).

Preferred Experience:

  • Culinary or baking experience.
  • Background in sales, marketing, or customer relations.
  • Experience in food broker sales or distributor representation.
  • Proven success in launching and growing a food service product line.
  • Base Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 per year.
  • Additional Perks: Monthly stipend/car allowance and annual performance bonus.
