Jobtailor in the United States seeks a senior Safety Leader to oversee divisional and location safety programs. You will roll out training on policies, regulations, and procedures, advise operations teams, and drive continuous improvement through incident analysis and audits.
You will partner with risk management, investigate lost-time events, lead OSHA engagements, and guide leadership toward measurable safety performance and compliant operations across markets. Travel up to 40% is required.
Lead divisional and location safety leaders within the market
Ensure rollout and completion of employee safety training on policies, regulations, and procedures
Advise operations teams on safety issues and compliance
Analyze incident reports, metrics, and injury case studies to implement safety improvements
Perform and manage market safety audits and observation programs; develop corrective actions with local leadership
Review injuries and incidents with location leaders to identify trends and mitigate future occurrences
Develop and communicate safety goals and performance results to market operational leadership and local management
Lead location leadership through OSHA engagements and ensure timely execution of responses and corrective actions
Conduct in-person accident investigations for all lost-time events and ensure incidents and near misses are investigated
Execute proactive injury-reduction initiatives using third-party resources
Monitor and track location safety committee progress and goals
Manage and distribute market location 300 Logs
Work closely with Risk Management on incident investigations
Perform other duties as assigned
Comply with company policies and standards, workplace safety commitments, and assigned training requirements
Demonstrates expertise in safety management, compliance with OSHA regulations, and the ability to lead safety initiatives within the building materials industry. Proven track record in analyzing safety metrics, conducting audits, and driving organizational change through effective communication and leadership.
