The Impact You Will Have In This Role

The FR&G mission is to provide effective identification, measurement, monitoring, and control of market, liquidity & stress testing related to the clearing and settlement processes. This includes governance and quality assurance for key risk functions, working under delegated authority from the Board and senior management. Collaborating with Quantitative Risk Management and Counterparty Credit Risk teams, the role supports an integrated approach to financial risk management at DTCC, maintaining a second line of defense. Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintain collateral to cover losses under extreme scenarios.
  • Ensure liquidity resources are sufficient for settlement in failure scenarios.
  • Improve policies, procedures, and processes for member surveillance and distress response.
  • Manage risk knowledge and frameworks for market, liquidity, and credit risks.

Market Risk responsibilities include monitoring daily margin calculations, managing risk exposures, driving new initiatives, overseeing risk systems, and ensuring compliance. The role requires understanding margin methodologies, equity markets, and collaboration across teams to mitigate risks and safeguard markets.

Your Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of equity market risk associates and analysts globally.
  • Review and approve daily work to ensure quality and timeliness.
  • Identify and evaluate changes in risk exposures and provide mitigation solutions.
  • Monitor market conditions and economic trends to anticipate risks.
  • Ensure process adherence, identify errors, and uphold ethical standards.
  • Handle issues from audits and regulatory exams, developing remediation plans.
  • Participate in projects to mitigate emerging risks and support new products.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 8 years of related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Deep understanding of equity markets and products cleared at NSCC and DTC.
