Job Description
The Senior Associate Director of Pharmaceutical Brand Market Research is responsible for leading all market research and business analytics activities for assigned brands and therapeutic areas. This strategic role involves end-to-end ownership of insights generation and data interpretation to guide key business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify immediate and long-term market research (MR) needs aligned with brand and TA strategies.
- Develop comprehensive MR plans leveraging a range of qualitative and quantitative methodologies.
- Lead the design, execution, and interpretation of MR studies; synthesize findings into actionable insights.
- Serve as subject matter expert on historical, current, and emerging insights related to assigned products.
- Analyze and report syndicated and secondary market data to track performance and uncover opportunities.
- Create and deliver compelling presentations that integrate findings from surveys, analytics, and syndicated data sources.
- Support analytical projects led by other Analytics & Insights (A&I) colleagues with expert input and data interpretation.
- Partner with vendors to align project execution with business needs and regulatory standards.
- Manage project budgets and ensure compliance with internal authorization processes.
- Collaborate with other A&I team members to deliver cohesive, strategic guidance to marketing and leadership.
- Lead cross-functional planning and influence brand strategy without direct authority.
- Rapidly gain deep knowledge of assigned products, market dynamics, and customer segments to influence tactical and strategic planning.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience in market research within large product marketing organizations.
- Minimum 10 years supporting pharmaceutical brand marketing research.
- Advanced knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods.
- Proven expertise managing regulatory and ethical standards for pharmaceutical MR and data privacy.
- Preferred experience in cardiology and primary care markets, especially related to cardiac and/or diabetic conditions.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Strong analytical, presentation, and communication skills.
- Must be based in the U.S. and available to start immediately.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required (advanced degrees preferred but not required)
