Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group is seeking a Market Owner to lead a market of multiple hospitals, owning P&L and driving growth, quality, and patient care. You’ll mentor hospital leaders, partner with veterinarians, and shape VEG’s regional strategy.

You’ll collaborate across HR, Legal, and Technology to bring resources to hospitals, ensure top-notch customer experience, and grow the VEG brand in your area.

Qualifications

• Come from any background (e.g. DVM, MBA) and gain clinical understanding.
• 7–10 years of relevant leadership experience.
• Proven ability to build high-performing teams in a multi-site service business.
• Willingness to work in field locations with on-site presence.

Responsibilities

• Drive multiple hospitals in the market, ensuring operational, clinical, and cultural excellence across every location.
• Coach hospital leaders to drive growth and customer experience.
• Build relationships with referring veterinarians and community partners.
• Own and manage market P&L, driving revenue and budgeting.
• Champion training and development with growth opportunities.
• Hire and retain top talent through local networking and succession planning.
• Collaborate with HR, Legal, Technology to bring resources to hospitals.
• Monitor market trends to drive local growth and new locations.
• Represent VEG brand in the region and engage with the community.
• Foster a culture where VEGgies feel seen and valued.
