Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group seeks a Market Owner to lead a region of four or more hospitals, guiding medical directors and hospital managers toward coordinated clinical excellence and strategic growth. You will be responsible for maintaining VEG’s standards and patient-centered care across all locations.

In this role, you will drive revenue, manage budgets, and mentor teams while collaborating with HR, Legal, and Technology to deliver innovative resources for VEG hospitals.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of leadership experience.
• Experience leading multi-site healthcare/service businesses.
• Ability to be near hospitals and work on-site most days.
• Willingness to work in noisy environments.
• Strong analytical and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive multiple hospitals in the market to deliver operational, clinical and cultural excellence across all locations.
• Coach hospital leaders to drive growth, performance, and an outstanding customer experience.
• Build deep relationships with referring veterinarians and community partners to elevate VEG's reputation and referral network.
• Own and manage the market's P&L, evaluating financial performance, driving revenue growth, and budgeting effectively.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (HR, Legal, Technology) to bring resources and innovations to VEG hospitals.
• Monitor market trends and competition to drive local growth and identify future hospital locations.
