Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company is seeking a meat department professional to ensure market and seafood cases stay full, rotated, and fresh. You will cut, weigh, package, and label products, while promoting customer service with a team.

You will train partners, review sales data, manage inventory, and ensure quality and safety across coolers and freezers. A Food Handler and Safety certifications are required or preferred, with opportunities for growth within the company.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• High school Diploma or GED and one or more years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and/or higher education.
• Prerequisite experience as a meatcutter, apprentice, and/or manager trainee preferred.
• Food Handler certification required.
• Manager Food Safety certification required.

Responsibilities

• Train and develop partners with upper management and direct work.
• Review historical data on sales, ads and promotions.
• Co-manage inventory to maintain in-stock levels.
• Review profit, loss, sales, shrink and labor data with department manager.
• Maintain and improve sales performance, product quality, and work standards.
