Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Market Manager, CEM to manage a territory across the Front Range in Colorado from a home office. You will drive business strategy, lead sales efforts, and provide basic technical support to customers in the construction materials market.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Excellent opportunity for an early-career professional who is eager to learn, grow, and take on new challenges with a strong interest in learning and building expertise in the Building Materials industry.

The Market Manager is an individual contributor role (no direct reports) with territory management and technical responsibilities.

The overall responsibilities of this role are to:

  • Develop and sustain a Business Strategy designed to gain or protect market share
  • Provide basic technical service to Amrize customers in the territory
  • Lead the territory Marketing and Sales efforts within the Business Unit
  • Monitor the quality and performance of Amrize and competitive products in the territory.
  • Position involves travel as needed to meet with customers and attend business unit and district meetings.
Position Location:

This is a remote position based from a personal home office, candidate must live within the Front Range sales territory of Colorado.

Relocation:

Position is eligible for relocation assistance for candidates outside the Front Range sales territory of Colorado.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
  • Creates clear business strategy for key accounts (e.g. increase share, account penetration, protect existing base, etc.)
  • Develops, maintains and strengthens customer relationships
  • Develops revenue and product goals that are time-bound, realistic, and achievable
  • Understands how to deliver value to customers (Performance Innovations, if applicable) and uses value selling strategies
  • Develops plans to maximize the potential of accounts and efficient use of time; uses good account management practices
  • Provides technical assistance and utilizes resources as needed to satisfy basic product and customer issues
  • Resolves basic customer product and technical problems
  • Gathers territory intelligence on all market products and creates a realistic succession pipeline of customers that can be sold if other volumes are lost
  • Tracking and management of major sales opportunities as they progress through the selling process
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Field of Study Preferred:

Business, Engineering, Marketing or equivalent degree

Required Work Experience:

3-5 years in the construction materials industry

Required Technical Skills:

Google suite, SAP, Salesforce, Qlikview

Additional Requirements:
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and during face-to-face interactions

  • Proactive, organized, results-oriented self-starter with a high level of energy and drive

  • Proficient in cement and concrete products
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
