Job summary

Greers Market seeks a Market Manager to lead the department by developing and maintaining order controls, monitoring gross margins, and evaluating performance with a focus on solving problems. You will train staff on product knowledge and presentation, and ensure pricing integrity for ads and promotions.

You will drive in-store promotions, enhance customer relationships through training, and oversee inventory turnover while managing expenses and APC.

• RESPONSIBLE FOR GROSS MARGIN CONTROLS

• RESPONSIBLE FOR EVALUATING DEPARTMENT AND PROBLEM SOLVING

• HANDLES OR ASSISTS IN SPECIAL BOOKINGS AND ORDERS OF PROMOTIONAL AND SEASONAL ITEMS

• TRAINS PERSONELL IN THE AREAS OF PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE AND PRESENTATION

• ACTS TO ENSURE THAT ALL GUARANTEED PRICING OF AD ITEMS OR SPECIAL SALE ITEMS ARE RECEIVED

• DEVELOPS CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIPS AND CONFIDENCE THROUGH PROPER EMPLOYEE TRAINING

• RESPONSIBLE FOR REQUIRED INVENTORY TURN WITHIN THE DEPT.

• EXERCISES TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE WHEN PRODUCT INTEGRITY IS IN QUESTION

• ASSISTS IN SPECIAL IN-STORE PROMOTIONS AS NEEDED

• INSURES PERFORMANCE LEVEL REQUIREMENTS (PRODUCTIVITY)

• INSURES THAT CONTROLABLE EXPENSES ARE WITIN THE REQUIRED LEVEL

• RESPONSIBLE FOR APC (AD PROFIT CONTROLS)

• RESPONSIBLE FOR THE TRAINING AND COORDINATION OF ALL DAILY DUTIES OF OTHER MET DEPARTMENT EMPLOYEES EITHER PERSONALLY OR BY MAKING SURE TECH HELP IS PROVIDED.
