Job summary

JMC is seeking a trustworthy maintenance technician to keep a property in excellent condition. You’ll handle everyday repairs—from doors and locks to tiles and handrails—and respond quickly to emergency maintenance needs, including flood situations.

You’ll work Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with an on-call rotation. The role requires 6 months+ trade experience and knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems; a plus for plumbing, HVAC, roofing experience.

Qualifications

• 6 months+ of trade experience or building maintenance.
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems on the property.
• Enjoy fixing things and improving spaces for occupants.
• Ability to identify and solve safety concerns.
• Experience in plumbing, electrical, roofing, or HVAC is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily maintenance requests professionally and expediently.
• Attend emergency maintenance needs and flood situations.
• Make repairs to doors, locks, tiles, and handrails.
• Monitor and coordinate with outside contractors and suppliers.

We’re looking for a trustworthy technician to maintain the physical condition of one of our properties. As part of the Maintenance team, you’ll help with the requests that come in each day pertaining to the more technical side of the building– like appliance maintenance, smoke detector installations, and light fixture removals. We love to keep our buildings looking beautiful, so you’ll also be responsible for routine cosmetic updates– such as painting, changing screens, and replacing windows.

What you’ll do:

• Execute daily maintenance requests professionally and expediently.
• Remain at the ready for emergency maintenance needs, emergency flood situations, and back-to-back move-ins.
• Make repairs in the building to things like doors, locks, tiles, and handrails.
• Monitor and work closely with outside contractors and suppliers.
• Maintain paperwork and invoices related to your work.

What we’re looking for:

• 6 months+ of trade experience or building maintenance
• You have a working knowledge of the equipment needed to make repairs on the property, including electrical and mechanical systems.
• Essentially, you love fixing things, making spaces more pleasing for the people who inhabit them, and you’re always ready to lend a helping hand even in high-stress situations.
• You’re great at identifying safety concerns and solving them.
• As a plus, you have specialized trade experience in plumbing, electrical, roofing, or HVAC.

Position pay range:

$26.50—$29.50 USD
