Job summary

Hy-Vee's Market Grille is hiring a Market Grille Clerk to manage orders, serve fresh made-to-order items, and create a welcoming experience for every customer at the counter.

You will take orders, answer the phone, review daily needs, prep and replenish products, maintain a clean work area, and handle POS transactions while working as part of a team committed to quality and service in a fast-paced store kitchen.

Qualifications

• No education requirement; training provided.
• Six months or less of related work experience; prior food service experience is a plus.
• Must be able to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks in a busy kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service and greet customers with a smile.
• Take orders at the Market Grille counter and answer the telephone promptly, helping with product orders.
• Review daily orders, anticipate product needs, and prepare and replenish products as necessary.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary work area and perform POS transactions as needed.
