Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Market Grille Clerk to greet customers, take orders, and help keep the Market Grille counter running smoothly in a fast-paced store kitchen.

You’ll handle food safely, prep and replenish items, ring up sales, and work with teammates to ensure a friendly, efficient customer experience. No formal education is required; on-the-job training is provided, with opportunities to grow within store operations.

Qualifications

• No formal education required; on-the-job training provided.
• Six months or less of related work experience preferred.
• Food service experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service and greet customers with a smile.
• Take customer orders at the Market Grille counter and answer phones.
• Review daily orders, prep and replenish product as needed.
• Handle food safely and maintain a clean, sanitary workspace.
• Operate the department register and assist with inventory as needed.
• Work with teammates to ensure customer satisfaction and a positive environment.
