Hy-Vee is seeking a Market Grille Clerk to join our store team. You will provide friendly customer service at the Market Grille counter, take orders, and ensure smooth operation of daily food prep and service.

The role emphasizes food safety, teamwork, and accuracy in cash handling, with training provided on-site. Join us for a fast-paced environment where customer satisfaction is paramount.

Qualifications

• No education requirement; we will provide all the training you need to succeed.
• Six months or less of similar or related work experience; prior food service experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service with a smile and help customers by learning their names
• Take orders at the Market Grille counter and answer the phone promptly with helpful service
• Review daily orders, anticipate needs, and prepare/replenish products as needed
• Pull product from cooler/freezer to prep for cooking and ensure adequate supply
• Handle food safely and monitor freshness throughout shift
• Maintain a clean, sanitary work area during your shift
• Operate the department register, take payments, and make change
• Assist in other areas as assigned and support a positive work environment
