Hy-Vee is seeking a Market Grille Cook to join our dynamic store kitchen. You will handle hot and cold menu items from prep to plate, keep the food case stocked, and ensure every order is prepared with care. A fast-paced environment and strong teamwork are essential to success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months or less of similar or related work experience; we will provide all the training you need to succeed.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service and greet customers with a smile.
• Prepare cooking surfaces and all menu items including vegetables, sides, meats, breakfast foods, and heat-and-eat varieties.
• Place food in hot cases, monitor amounts, and refill as necessary throughout the shift.
• Stay knowledgeable of all menu items and take guest orders as needed.
• Prepare items for upcoming shifts to keep the department running smoothly.
• Maintain sanitation procedures and keep the work area clean and organized at all times.
• Order product and supplies as needed or notify department managers of any needs.
• Work with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction.
