Hy-Vee is seeking a Market Grille Cook to join a fast-paced kitchen in a retail setting. You will prepare hot and cold items, stock the food case, and ensure every order is prepared with care while maintaining cleanliness and sanitation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months or less of similar or related work experience; we will provide all the training you need to succeed.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service and greet customers with a smile.
• Prepare cooking surfaces and all menu items including vegetables, sides, meats, breakfast foods, and heat-and-eat varieties.
• Place food in hot cases, monitor amounts and refill as necessary.
• Stay knowledgeable of all menu items and take guest orders as needed.
• Prepare items for upcoming shifts to keep the department running smoothly.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of all aspects of the Market Grille operation.
