Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Market Grille Cook to join our fast-paced kitchen. You’ll handle hot and cold menu items from prep to plate, keep the food case stocked, and ensure every order is prepared with care. We value teamwork and a positive guest experience in a busy store environment.

Responsibilities include taking guest orders, preparing items for shifts, and maintaining clean, sanitary work areas while delivering quality food and friendly service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Up to six months of related kitchen or food-service experience, with training provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service and greet guests with a smile.
• Prepare menu items including vegetables, sides, meats, breakfast items, and heat-and-eat products.
• Stock hot cases and refill throughout the shift.
• Take guest orders and stay knowledgeable about all menu items.
• Prepare items for upcoming shifts to keep the department running smoothly.
• Maintain sanitation and keep the work area clean and organized.
