We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Market Development Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will drive business growth for Shure products in the Southeast US region, with a primary focus on building and nurturing strong relationships with End Users. This is an exceptional opportunity to work with state-of-the-art audio solutions and play a key role in the success of our organization. This role is key to continuing to build relationships in the Pro Audio Large Events and Content sector.
This position is REMOTE based in the Southeast US, in the Atlanta metro area.
Responsibilities
- Cultivate lasting relationships with influential decision-makers, stakeholders, and industry associations to establish our organization as a leading audio technology provider.
- Strategize and execute initiatives to broaden our market presence, emphasizing audio solutions as a core value proposition.
- Maintain robust engagement with key clients within the designated geographic region, including tasks such as product specification, demonstrations, commissioning support, and training.
- Identify and prioritize market opportunities to attract potential customers beyond Shure’s current revenue streams.
- Provide support and insights to Product Planners and Product Marketing Specialists regarding product lines.
- Monitor and report on competitive activities.
- Recognize the need for educational programs and create and deliver presentations to enhance awareness and understanding of Shure’s product categories.
- Train independent sales representatives and dealer/integrators on product benefits and effective sales techniques.
- Collaborate with the sales team to share market insights, product knowledge, and sales tools to facilitate successful customer interactions and conversions.
- Assist with technical and logistical arrangements for conferences, seminars, clinics, and other special events.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, such as managing demo equipment and loan inventory.
Qualifications
- Must live in the Southeast US region, preferably Atlanta metro area.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with a comprehensive technical knowledge of audio principles and equipment with continuing development of professional expertise.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing new opportunities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Detail oriented and well-organized; good time management skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess market potential and make data-driven decisions.
- Up to 20 weeks of travel annually – including some weekends – is required.
