Job summary

Tenet Healthcare Corporation is seeking a Director of Education to organize, plan, develop, implement and maintain educational programs and staff development, ensuring compliance with CMS, TJC and DHEC standards across the facility.

The role oversees market and facility clinical educators, directs department operations, coordinates orientation for new staff and volunteers, and partners with Human Resources to document participation and ongoing education needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school; MSN preferred.
• Minimum 5 years related experience; 3 years in a leadership role; knowledge of CMS, TJC, DHEC standards.
• Current state RN license and AHA BLS; PALS Instructor preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, and maintains the hospital education program and staff development.
• Directs and coordinates market/facility/department activities to meet standards and policies.
• Coordinates orientation for new staff, agency personnel, students and volunteers; documents participation with HR.
• Investigates education resources and identifies staff training needs.
• Identifies real-time education opportunities and evaluates needs assessments.
• Performs related duties as required.
