  • Associates of Arts/Associates of Science in related technical discipline (preferred)
  • NCCER Level 2 certification in maritime structural fitter (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging classroom, laboratory, and hands-on instruction in Maritime technologies topics.
  • Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, demonstrations, and practical exercises per approved curriculum.
  • Teach students to interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols for maritime applications.
  • Demonstrate safe and efficient use of tools, machinery, and measuring equipment in OSHA/maritime standards.
  • Collaborate with program coordinators to align curriculum with industry practices.
  • Evaluate participant performance through assessments and practical exercises.
  • Maintain attendance, assessment, and course completion records.

Education

Certificate in a related technical discipline
1 year toward an Associate degree in Marine Engineering or Welding Technology
