Blue Ops, Inc. in Fort Pierce, FL is seeking an Integration Engineer with 2–3 years of hands-on mechanical and electromechanical experience to unite mechanical, electrical, and software subsystems on uncrewed surface vessels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, systems, or related engineering.
• 2–3 years of relevant engineering experience in mechanical engineering, hardware testing, robotics, or similar.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to pass background checks for security clearance.
• Experience installing and troubleshooting electromechanical equipment.
• Familiarity with DC power, wiring, and basic control systems.
• Ability to read schematics, drawings, and equipment documentation.
• Experience using electrical test equipment and documenting troubleshooting findings.

Responsibilities

• Own the mechanical design of vessel structures, mounts, enclosures, and packaging from concept to field-ready hardware.
• Create and release fabrication and assembly drawings with GD&T, tolerances, materials, and BOMs.
• Perform hand calculations and basic FEA for loads, stresses, vibration, and thermal effects.
• Integrate sensors, onboard computers, and electrical subsystems onto vessel platforms.
• Lead mechanical installation and fit-up, verify clearances, alignment, and serviceability.
• Coordinate with machine shops and suppliers on fabrication, tolerances, lead times, and technical questions.
• Develop and execute mechanical test procedures; record results and verify corrective actions.
• Support bench testing, dockside checks, sea trials, and customer demonstrations.
