Qualifications

Pursuing a BS in Marine Engineering, ME, EE, math, physics, or equivalent.
College coursework in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or related field.
Operational, design, or analysis experience with the SURTASS system.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

Evaluate the technical appropriateness of system modernization initiatives and provide feedback and alternatives.
Review new platform development against Coast Guard and shipping standards for US Navy needs.
Research, investigate, and experiment with next-generation analysis capabilities.
Present analyses and engineering assessments across peer working groups.
