Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Structural Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline.

Responsibilities

• Perform classical hand calculations and Finite Element Analysis on maritime pressure boundaries, structural enclosures, and mechanisms.
• Define, build, and maintain design allowables across metallic and composite materials.
• Own the centralized allowables database and thresholds for requalification when material lots change.
• Interface with Materials & Processes and Manufacturing Engineering to translate specs into FE models and margin calculations.
• Drive structural test programs from coupon-level testing to full-scale qualification.
