Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Staff Structural Analysis Engineer to join our Costa Mesa, CA team. You will apply statics, dynamics, and materials science to assess complex structures for multiple platforms and domains, delivering rigorous analyses and robust designs.

Responsibilities include developing FEM workflows, coordinating with hardware engineers, and documenting results to support internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• BS or higher in engineering or applied physics with a focus in structures.
• 12+ years in a structures, dynamics, or loads related role with high ownership and accountability for hardware outcomes.
• Deep understanding of statics, dynamics, mechanics of materials, and materials properties.
• Proficiency in FEA software (NASTRAN/Abaqus preferred) for linear and nonlinear static, dynamic and buckling analyses.
• Experience with CAD tools (NX, SolidWorks).
• Proficiency in MATLAB or Python for developing analytical models, data acquisition, and automation.

Responsibilities

• Perform static and dynamic structural analyses across sea, ground, air, and space domains using first principles and appropriate methods.
• Develop and own FEM creation and organization at global and subsystem levels.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to drive proper designs based on analytical results.
• Conduct and support validation testing, including instrumentation setup and data collection.
• Document analysis methodology and results in technical reports for internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Ensure designs meet customer requirements, industry standards, and safety regulations.
• Stay current with advancements in analysis techniques and materials technology.
