Blue Origin, LLC. is seeking a Maritime Security Specialist - Boat Operator / Maintainer to support near-shore security for New Glenn launches and port operations.

The role requires operating security vessels, coordinating maintenance, and communicating with maritime professionals to keep exclusion zones clear and safe. The candidate should have an associate degree or equivalent, plus licensure as an Operator of Non-Inspected Passenger Vessel or similar experience; strong radar, VHF, AIS skills;

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent (military/law enforcement/security) experience.
• Credentialed as an Operator of Non-Inspected Passenger Vessel (or higher) or prior marine security experience.
• Functional maritime security/law enforcement background with boat operations and small-boat handling.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass DOT checks.

Responsibilities

• Perform as a boat operator and safely navigate a vessel offshore and at port.
• Maintain Blue Origin security vessels and related equipment.
• Communicate with maritime community via VHF radio and identify launch hazard zones.
• Track vessels using radar, AIS, and other navigation tools.
• Support launch operations and maritime domain awareness assessments.
• Prepare reports, meeting notes, and presentations.
• Engage with port communities to explain exclusion zones and safety measures.
• Assist in transport of flight hardware between facilities.
