Job summary

Saronic Technologies seeks project managers to move complex shipyard initiatives from kickoff to handover. You will own scope, schedules, risks, and budgets while coordinating with engineering, construction, and vendor teams to deliver on time.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in heavy-industrial project management, excellent communication skills, and a safety-first mindset. On-site work and travel within shipyards are required, with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field and 5+ years in project management in shipbuilding or similar heavy industry.
• Proven track record delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Experience coordinating with vendors, contractors, and suppliers.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to drive results across teams without direct authority.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6, MS Project, Smartsheet, or Jira.
• Willingness to work on-site and travel as needed.
• Experience in shipyard, naval, or maritime settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own project scope, timelines, milestones, budgets, and success metrics.
• Plan and run projects from kickoff through handover.
• Track progress weekly; maintain schedules, risks, and actions.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, and functional teams.
• Manage vendors and contractors; track deliveries and open items.
• Spot risks early and raise issues with leadership with options.
• Maintain safety and quality standards across work.
• Report status in plain language to non-engineering leaders.
