Job summary

The Port of Mobile Day Laborer performs general labor duties in support of vessel operations, cargo handling, terminal activities, warehouse operations, and other maritime-related functions. This role operates in a fast-paced industrial environment where safety, reliability, and teamwork are essential.

Overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays may be required. Eligible candidates must possess a valid TWIC card and be able to obtain all required port access badges.

Qualifications

• TWIC card required and valid.
• Must be eligible to obtain all required port badges.
• Ability to pass drug testing and background checks.
• Physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and secure cargo from vessels, barges, trucks, and railcars.
• Assist with inventory movement, staging, housekeeping, and storage activities.
• Inspect cargo and documentation per procedures; maintain work areas.
• Support vessel operations, terminal activities, and safety/compliance requirements.
