Job summary

SubCom is seeking a highly skilled Maritime Operational Technology Lead to manage and secure OT networks on vessels and maritime facilities. You will oversee upgrades, ensure compliance with IMO rules, IACS guidelines, and flag-state requirements, and lead cross-functional teams across IT, Engineering, Vessel Operations, and Safety.

This role requires hands-on cybersecurity experience, strong project management, and the ability to obtain a valid security clearance.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of OT network experience in maritime/offshore/industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of SCADA, PLCs, HMIs and maritime systems.
• Excellent project management and cross-functional leadership.
• Familiarity with IMO cyber risk guidelines and security clearance requirement.
• Experience with class society cybersecurity or OT systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage, support, and optimize OT network systems on vessels or maritime facilities.
• Plan upgrades, migrations, and expansions with minimal downtime.
• Ensure OT cybersecurity aligns with IMO/IACS and flag-state guidelines.
• Lead cross-functional projects with defined schedules, scope, and deliverables.
• Audit maintenance records and maintain network diagrams and documentation.
