The Pasha Group is seeking a skilled supervisor to coordinate ILWU stevedoring operations in Honolulu. You will direct crews, organize gangs, and ensure cargo is handled efficiently while maintaining strong labor relations and safety compliance.

Responsibilities include scheduling, reporting, and advising customers and vessel staff on loading methods, with opportunities to impact performance and operations through leadership and planning.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required; maritime operations degree preferred.
• 5+ years in marine terminal operations.
• 1+ year supervising staff; union-represented supervision preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of ILWU contracts and port practices.
• Safety-conscious, able to work shifts including nights, weekends, holidays.
• Valid driver’s license and TWIC or equivalent credential within 90 days.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate activities of ILWU workers in stevedoring operations and provide tactical work direction.
• Organize and structure gangs to execute operations plans.
• Supervise relations with union and non-union labor to ensure efficient cargo handling.
• Develop vessel schedules, payroll, safety, and reports using systems or manual methods.
• Advise customers, shippers, stevedores, agents, and vessel staff on loading methods.
• Review, monitor and report cargo vessel production.
• Coordinate handoffs to incoming supervisors during shift changes.
• Maintain positive customer relations by understanding needs and contract terms.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and accident prevention codes.
• Lead communication to maintain team morale and performance.
• Keep management informed of work status and problems.
• Maintain knowledge of union contracts and procedures.
• Provide feedback to management on equipment requirements for cost-effective operations.
• Review performance and take corrective action when needed.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
