Job summary

Pangaea Logistics Solutions, Fort Lauderdale-based marine terminal operator, seeks a Supervisor to oversee stevedoring operations for loading and discharging dry-bulk and break-bulk cargo. You will coordinate with agency and terminal teams to ensure flawless service and safety compliance.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and 5+ years in terminal operations, with TWIC or ability to obtain one. Expect fast-paced environments and a collaborative team-focused culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or HS diploma / GED required.
• 5+ years’ experience in marine terminal operations including supervision.
• Experience in containers, dry-bulk and breakbulk cargo terminal operations.
• Computer literate (TOS) a plus.
• Ability to respond to issues quickly, safely, in fast-paced environment.
• Self-starter with leadership, communication, analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license and TWIC or ability to obtain TWIC.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate stevedoring operations for loading and discharging dry-bulk and break-bulk cargo.
• Liaise between agency and terminal operations to ensure flawless customer service.
• Oversee gang structuring and ensure efficiency.
• Conduct safety meetings before each shift and ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Prepare reports on stevedoring activities including hours, personnel, and equipment.
