Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the Undersea Systems Division for NIWC Pacific. The role blends configuration management with TEMPALT development for Navy platforms, including shipboard installation and on-site support.

Candidate must hold a US Citizenship with ability to obtain a DoD secret clearance, and be willing to travel 2–8 trips per year. The position is onsite on a 9/80B schedule to align with NIWC government team.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Marine Engineering, or Naval Architecture.
• 2–5+ years in mechanical design, integration, or configuration control.
• Proficiency in Solid Edge and PLM/ECM workflows.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain system baseline configurations across multiple lines.
• Review drawings, 3D CAD models, and specs for standards compliance.
• Manage ECOs and deviations through review boards.
• Track hardware revisions and ensure traceability.
• Support shipboard TEMPALT packages and on-site installation.
