Job summary

Edison Chouest Offshore (ECO) seeks a practical, solution-oriented attorney to join its Legal Department in Louisiana. You will provide critical legal and commercial guidance across maritime, offshore energy, and subsea operations.

The role focuses on contract review, drafting, and negotiation, with regular interaction with Senior Management to support risk management and corporate affairs.

Qualifications

• Active Louisiana license to practice law required.
• Active Notarial Commission for Louisiana.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and Google Suite.
• A commercial and pragmatic approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Contract Management: review, draft, and negotiate commercial and maritime agreements including vessel charters and NDAs.
• Provide actionable legal guidance to ECO business units as part of the Legal Department.
• Support regulatory compliance across commercial, operational, safety, and regulatory terms.
• Advise on risk management, corporate structuring, and other corporate matters.
• Handle contractual disputes and coordinate with external counsel when needed.
