Job summary

Valiant Integrated Services seeks an Experimentation and Maritime Exercise Planning Subject Matter Expert to support theater-level exercises in the USINDOPACOM AOR. You will help plan and execute experiments, integrate design-of-experiments, and coordinate across military and government partners to address critical capability gaps.

Qualifications

• Experience developing test plans and integrating experimentation threads into test, demonstration, and exercise events.
• Experience using a formal "design-of-experiments" approach to development and integration.
• Experience in experimentation planning, design-of-experiment process, and identification of initiatives.
• Ability to quantitatively apply experimentation results to real-world capability gaps and inform solutions.
• Experience planning, coordinating, and executing maritime exercise events with training and experimentation.
• Knowledge of CJCSM 3500-series guidance and the DoD Experimentation Guidebook.
• Experience working with combatant commands, joint staff, or operational staff.
• Familiarity with USINDOPACOM boards, bureaus, centers, cells and working groups.
• Excellent oral and written communication for drafting complex documents.
• Experience planning initial, mid, and final planning events for major exercises.

Responsibilities

• Integrate material and non-material experimentation into test, demonstration, and exercise events using traditional experimentation or 'free play' as appropriate.
• Utilize a design-of-experiments approach to develop integration proposals and incorporate into demonstration, simulation, test, and exercise events.
• Plan and execute maritime exercise events that incorporate readiness-based training tasks and experimentation.
• Build and execute exhaustive data collection and analysis plans.
• Apply experimentation results to inform acquisition strategies or revisions to concepts of operations and TTPs.
• Coordinate planning and integration of experiments into major theater exercises with USINDOPACOM staff and other commands.
• Draft and staff documents implementing novel concepts and mature existing ones, including concepts of operation and TTPs.
• Conduct planning conferences, site surveys, and technical working groups.
• Develop and present briefings, trip reports, white papers, and other docs for senior decision-makers.
• Participate in ODTs, boards, and working groups, and respond to RFIs and AARs.
• Contribute to synchronization of objectives and investments in a matrix organization.
