Job summary

SMX seeks a Maritime Project Manager to join the PMO and oversee the day-to-day operations of contract cost, schedule, and performance for Maritime Operations. You will lead staffing, training, administration, workforce management, budgets, sub-contracting and property management, with periodic travel to customer sites.

This role requires DoD TS/SCI clearance and US citizenship. Relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI eligibility required for DoD work.
• Bachelor's degree or relevant experience can substitute a degree.
• Experience in C6ISR operations, preferably in leadership.
• Experience managing Maritime Operations and port logistics.
• Ability to communicate objectives to military and civilian personnel.
• Experience briefing senior government and industry leaders.
• Knowledge of process improvement techniques.
• Budget management and execution experience.
• Business development and technical proposal writing skills.
• Experience supporting large contracts with complex programs.
• Ability to coordinate many organizations on a dynamic schedule.
• Capacity to learn rapidly and adapt to change.

Responsibilities

• Allocates resources to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Tracks schedule and cost using corporate QMS processes.
• Reports status and maintains program documentation and metrics.
• Supports business development and proposal activities.
• Identifies and pursues additional work within contracts.
• Shapes prime and subcontract opportunities with customers.
• Plans and evaluates multi-faceted programs with customer collaboration.
• Develops operational data calls, reports, and performance products.
• Ensures SOP-compliant contract service, quality, and performance.
• Advises on contractual issues and potential adverse personnel actions.
• Maintains relationships with Government program managers, COs, CORs.
• Collaborates with PMO to set goals, policies, and procedures.
• Works with HR to recruit, hire, retain, train, and compensate staff.
